چکیده
This papaer studies, from the point of view of the traveling-wave approach, the transient radiation by V-antennas including the dependence of the maximum directivity on the interior angle, on the length of the arms and on the characteristics of the exciting pulse. As particular examples, the cases when the antenna is excited by a harmonic signal and a gaussian pulse are analyzed and the results obtained using the traveling-wave approach are compared with the ones obtained using numerical methods.

Modeling nanoscale V-shaped antennas for the design of optical phased arrays
We present a simplified numerical method to solve for the current distribution in a V-shaped antenna excited by an electric field with arbitrary polarization. The scattered far-field amplitude, phase, and polarization of the antennas are extracted. The calculation technique presented here is an efficient method for probing the large design parameter space of such antennas, which have been propo...

In this study, a radiation pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna is designed and fabricated. The antenna’s radiation pattern is directed in 9 different angles by employing a radiating patch and embedding complementary split ring resonators (CSRR) on the ground plane. The radiating patch is of circular shape, while for CSRR elements both circular and rectangular shapes are investigated. The ...

The computer program NEC-2, which calculates the currents on wire-grid models by the method of moments, is modified to analyse structures which consist of a collection of disconnected substructures. The matrix equation for the currents is solved by means of iteration between the substructures using the Siedel method. The convergence is accelerated using an extrapolation technique. For a structu...
